Introduced Species

BIOGRAPHY

Introduced Species dates back to about 1993, with Jerram and Geoff performing together in an original Band "Skud" from the age of ten onwards. With time each member dispersed for various reasons to all ends of Australia. Geoff went to Townsville and honed his solo techniques winning Townville's university band competition and then gained second place at the QLD state finals in lismore (1999). A move to Brisbane saw Michael (Drums) and Geoff (Guitar, vox) reform with Anton filling the bass requirements and Introduced Species was born.

The lure of the species brought Jerram and Jeremy out of the shrubbery of Dondingalong completing the five piece. Since this formation in 2001 Introduced Species has set a solid ground in Brisbane, with 2 Cd's being released with the help of lounge lizard and chik-a-bow studios (self owned) and a barrage of gigs with supports for Mick Hart, Charus Thompson and Hudson Lowboy. The Qld university band competition was also won again at the university of queensland and best musicianship gained at the Lismore finals by Geoff Turnbull as a solo act.

The vast talent of Introduced Species provides a musical chair approach with all musicians sharing the instrument use, and a dual front vocal attack by Jerram and Geoff completes the species sound.

Work Status

As an integrated network of independent artists Introduced species work their way into all avenues adapting the show for the environment.
